CAPSTONE CODE OF CONDUCT

WHEN CRITIQUING

1) Question everything. Support something.

2) Prioritize what you think has the MOST value

3) Support the HOST artist's vision, not YOUR vision

4) Don't assume, or be a know-it-all.

-show evidence of your thought process behind your opinion.

-and remember, you are giving an opinion not a fact.

-be open-minded, and constructive. Everybody is insecure about something in their work.

-"I don't know" is a completely acceptable answer.

-accidents or mistakes should be invited not avoided.

5) BE PROFESSIONAL

imagine you are financing this project; are your comments effective in realizing its completion?

6) Support simplicity and clarity.

BUT it is OK if the host, artist's project is inherently complex. It just should not be convaluted.

WHEN WORKING and TROUBLESHOOTING IN CLASS

7) IF YOU ARE NOT USING THE CLASSROOM TO WORK, DO NOT DISTRACT OR DISTURB OTHERS. Again, be professional.
